CORVALLIS, Ore. (February 15, 2008) — Entrepreneurs and restaurant owners Stephanie and Reiner Bohlen wanted to create the best nutrition bars – bars that had good taste as well as fresh, organic ingredients. It wasn’t long before Solstice Goji Energy Bars were a hit at the Solstice Cafe and Bakery in downtown Corvallis, and the delicious bars found their way into gift bags for the 2007 Night of 100 Stars Academy Awards party, sample tables at the Farm Aid concert and gift baskets for participants in the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s 9th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic.
Now the bars, which are available in Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter and Northwest Breakfast flavors, can be ordered online at www.solsticebars.com.
The Bohlens enlisted Visual People Design (www.visualpeople.com) of Corvallis to help them market and sell Goji Bars online. Visual People designed the website, which includes a blog, an updated news and events section and an area where customers can talk about their experience with tasting the bars. Customers from around the U.S. can purchase the bars by the case using an e-commerce system integrated with Google Checkout for ease in payment.
